What better time for a trip to Blackpool than to see the legendary Blackpool illuminations 2025 lights switch on?
We are awaiting the official confirmation of the Blackpool Illuminations switch on ceremony and length of the illuminations, however we do have official confirmation that the 2025 Ride The Lights event will be on Tuesday 27th August 2025 and from this we know that the Illuminations switch on is the following Friday so we have made an informed calculation as to the timings of this years Illuminations event based upon what has been the norm in past years.
We believe that the unknown element is as to how long the Illuminations will be on. We shall of course update this information when we have the official confirmation.
Blackpool Illuminations are expected to be on from Friday 29th August this year (2025).
We expect the lights of Blackpool Illuminations will be switched on at 9pm on Friday 29th August 2025 by a celebrity who will be named near the day, as is the tradition, previous famous faces who have switched on Blackpool Illuminations can be found here.
